About Me
Navneet is a former Indian Army officer with more than 25 years of rich experience at senior level positions in operations, logistics, training and HR.
An alumnus of National Defence Academy, he has BTech, Masters of Management sciences (MMS), MSc(Defence Studies and Strategy) and 35 years of combat, corporate and NGO experience at national and international level.
25 years’ rich experience with Indian Army (retired as Colonel) having held senior positions in operations of large commands and construction project management vertical within the organization, including fair exposure in HRM, Logistics, Training, etc. Being from the Corps of Engineers, operational and technical knowledge of land mines, UXOs, EOD and CBRN has been inherent including holding instructional tenure at the College of Military Engineering in the related field.
10 years’ ongoing experience as Director Operations with an internationally operating NGO (accredited by UN) working in the field of post conflict environment management (humanitarian demining, ERW & UXO Clearance).
Served as Chief Humanitarian Officer with United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, during the tenure with Indian Army. Planned, executed, coordinated and monitored a number of humanitarian projects including fund raising, as well as handled many humanitarian crisis situations in the AOR. ICRC delegate in Lebanon closely associated in many humanitarian situations.
Successfully orchestrated planning and execution of 12 humanitarian demining/UXO clearance/EOD projects in Sri Lanka and Kuwait, in current capacity as well as a Naturally Occurring Radiological Material (NORM) survey project.
Briefly rendered project consultancy to The Energy and Research Institute (TERI), India, at their UN funded International Project on Soil Remediation in Kuwait.
Conceived and operating a number of NGOs and business enterprises, including a green energy initiative.
Attended UN conferences on post conflict environment management initiatives (Mine Action), and various other international events.
Travelled internationally across USA, Germany, Switzerland, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, Sudan, India, Indonesia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, UAE, Russian Federation, Sri Lanka, Israel and Taiwan.
Working experience with culturally and ethnically divergent people in international settings, under extreme pressure in highly stressful environments (e.g. civil strife, natural hazards and humanitarian crisis).
